About This Event

Schooner AquidneckJoin us for a refreshing afternoon sail aboard our classic and comfortable schooner, Aquidneck. We’ll cruise through historic Newport Harbor and into the scenic waters of Narragansett Bay, a perfect way to soak in the views and cool off on a warm day.

Afternoon sails often bring the best breezes, offering an exhilarating, yet relaxing sailing experience with just the right amount of wind and sunshine.

While the wind and tide vary daily so no trip is exactly the same, on all sails you'll see Fort Adams, a 19th century coastal Fort, the iconic Pell Newport Bridge, Clingstone, a one of a kind house on an island, Hammersmith Farm, the former Summer Whitehouse of JFK and many other interesting sights.

Enjoy light, easygoing commentary from our welcoming captain and crew, who are happy to share highlights of the area’s sailing history and coastal sights.

Aquidneck is fun to sail on! Help hoist sails, come back and take a turn at the wheel or sit back and relax. Great photo taking opportunities!

Aquidneck is wide, stable, exceptionally comfortable and known for smooth sailing! Queasiness is extremely rare on this boat.
